Melissa Detwiler

Melissa Detwiler grew up in South Carolina where she began playing tennis at the age of 7.  She lived at Nick Bollettieri’s tennis academy for two years before playing the satellite circuit at age 17.  She went on to play tennis for Clemson University and Boston University.  Currently, she lives in Los Angeles, CA where she manufactures and sells her patented round towel/blanket bags at ThePakaRoo.com.  She also teaches tennis to all ages. Her past experiences with tennis have inspired her to create The Adventures of Henry the Sports Bug, a fun approach to teach children the benefits of sports. Melissa believes that, “Playing a sport and being athletic has so many life long benefits and the ability to get those benefits and life lessons while having fun is priceless.”

If you live in the Los Angeles area and are looking for lessons for you or your children please contact Melissa for her availability and rates.
